Spread the word about getting the Olympics to Denver in 2022. It would be a huge boost for Denver’s economy.

There has been a lot of talk about it recently and a few different groups are trying to put together organizing groups. There are a lot of venues in Denver and the surrounding communities that host specific sports or various games. Here is just a sample of what Denver has to offer that is already built and ready to go:

Pepsi Center – Home of the NBA’s Nuggets and NHL’s Avs.   It also hosted the arena team before that went under.

Sports Authority Mile High Field – Home of the NFL’s Denver Broncos and the current craziness sounding Tim Tebow and his breaking up Lindsey Vonn’s marriage.

University of Denver – DU has a great facility for hockey and a dedicated lacrosse field.

University of Colorado – Basketball facilities

Broomfield – 1st Bank Center – Good for hockey and maybe curling.

Skiing could be held at one of several different areas. Arials could even be held right up the road at Echo Mountain.  Nordic would probably go to Winter Park or maybe even Eldora. Alpine events would probably use Vail.   Tons of options here. Summit County (Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain are all about 1:45 minutes from Denver. Vail is about 2 hours. Winter Park is about 1:45.
